The most important fields of research of the institute arise from the topics of the two fields (sylviculture, forest protection); for example: working out innovative solutions in the topics of stocking, production and breeding of adulterants, forest economy, prevention and control of wildlife damage, pest and diseases appearing in the forest, and the prevention of their spread and the damage:
